01Who we are

This website is run by MPI Living (“MPI Living”, “we”, “us”), a property maintenance, renovation and repairs business in the United Kingdom. These terms apply when you use this website or ask us to carry out work.

02About these terms

Please read these terms before you request a quote or book work. By asking us to carry out work, or by accepting a quote, you agree to them. If we give you a written quote or agreement that says something different, the written quote or agreement applies for that job.

03Quotes and estimates

  • Quotes are free.
  • A quote is based on the information you give us and, where we can, what we see on a visit. If the job turns out to be different from what was described, we will tell you before going ahead and explain any change in price.
  • Quotes are valid for a limited time. [Confirm quote validity period before publishing.]

04Booking and access

  • We will agree a start date and a rough timescale with you before work begins.
  • You need to make sure we can safely get into the property and the work area at the agreed time.
  • If you need to move an appointment, please let us know as early as you can.
  • Please tell us about anything that could affect the work, such as asbestos, hidden pipes or cables, pets, or vulnerable people in the property.

05Prices and payment

  • The price is the amount in your accepted quote, plus any changes you have agreed with us.
  • We will invoice you for the work. [Confirm payment terms, deposits and accepted payment methods before publishing.]
  • If an invoice is paid late, we may charge interest and costs as allowed by law. [Confirm late payment wording before publishing.]

06Changes to the work

If you want to add to, remove or change anything once the work has been agreed, tell us. We will confirm any change in price or timescale with you before we carry out the extra work.

07Materials

We can supply materials, or work with materials you have already bought. We will agree which at the quote stage. If you supply the materials, we cannot be responsible for faults in them or for them being unsuitable for the job. [Confirm materials wording before publishing.]

08Our work and your guarantee

We will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and leave the area tidy when we finish.

Workmanship guarantee: [Confirm workmanship guarantee period and what it covers before publishing.]

If you think something is not right, tell us as soon as possible so we can look at it and put it right.

09Cancelling

  • Your right to cancel: if you agree a contract with us at your home, by phone, by email or online, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days, you must pay for the work done up to the point you cancel.
  • After that: if you cancel after work has been booked or started, we may charge for work already done, materials already ordered and any costs we cannot recover. [Confirm cancellation and rebooking charges before publishing.]

10Delays and things outside our control

Weather, supplier delays, hidden problems found during the work and other things outside our control can affect timings. We will keep you updated and agree a new plan with you. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we could not reasonably control.

11Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss that was not a reasonably foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for loss of profit or business losses. [Confirm liability and insurance wording before publishing.]

12Using this website

  • The information on this website is general and is there to help you decide whether to get in touch. A quote is the only confirmation of price and scope.
  • Photos on this website show examples of our work. Results can differ from job to job.
  • Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content.
  • Please do not misuse the site, for example by sending spam through the quote form or trying to interfere with how it works.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

13Complaints

If you are not happy with any part of our service, please contact us first on 07914 169150 or at info@mpiliving.com. We will look into it and aim to put things right. [Confirm complaint response time before publishing.]

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. The terms that apply to a job are the ones in place when you accepted the quote.
